Warming Not Unusual

The 20th century warming is not unusual, Says Dr. Sallie Baliunas and Dr. Willie Soon from the harvard.

They have conducted a resarch that once and for all confirms that the climate globally have had swings up and down for the last 10.000 years. Of special interest is the claim that the MWP from year 900 to 1300 was warmer than today….

Sallie Baliunas has along with her colleagues, Harvard astrophysicists Dr. Willie Soon and Dr. David Legates, in strong terms criticised the validity of the “hockey stick” by Michael Mann. The hockey stick were for many years the icon of manmade global warming. The pilar that the arguments were standing on. Michael Mann argued that the warming in the last 100 years were unpresidented and it was 98% likely that humans were to blame. His temperature grapfh completely deleted the Medieval Warm period and the Little Ice Age. But Baliunas and Soon and his colleagues refuted these claims in a now famous article from 2003:

RECONSTRUCTING CLIMATIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGES OF THE PAST 1000 YEARS: A REAPPRAISAL

Part of the conclusion goes like this:

“After examining more than 240 individual proxy records analyzed by nearly 1000 researchers, we concluded that taken individually, proxy records offer strong support for the widespread existence of both a Medieval Warm Period (~A.D. 800 to 1300) and a Little Ice Age (~A.D. 1400 to 1850), undermining Mann’s conclusion that the climate of the 20th Century was unusual when compared to the variability over the last millennium. (Proxy records are secondary or inferred sources from which assumptions about air temperature may be drawn).” Find the full .pdf article here.

Maldives Will Avoid Extinction

The Maldives is an icon of climate catastrophe and extinction. But
it won´t happen says Swedish professor Niels-Axel Moerner: ”Sea levels has declined more than 20 centimeters the last 35 years, and the archipelago will survive the next 100 years as well”. No catastrophe will spoil the lives of the people from the Maldives”

In an open letter to President Mohamed Nasheed of the Maldives Niels-Axel Moerner takes a strong stand against the presidential scary scenario for the future.

Look At The Right Place

“If you want to know how the climate system on Earth works, you should look at the bulk of the atmosphere, and pay less attention to the surface thermometers”, says Professor John Christy from University of Huntsville Alabama. If carbon dioxide is leading to warmer climate it should be much warmer in the Troposphere than on the surface of the Earth. But the troposphere has hardly warmed for the last 13 years. It seems like water and clouds are not amplifying the rise in carbon dioxide as it should according to IPCC scenarios. Something is seriously wrong with the theory of anthropogenic warming. H2O The Dominant Greenhouse Gas

The role of Water vapor and clouds in the atmosphere are by far greater than that of carbon dioxide. The problem is that climate models do not understand the role of water and clouds very well says associate professor David Legates.

Urban Heat Island Effect

UHI is strongly biasing the surface temperature records. Human development in rural areas and city districts influence the temperature records by up to several degrees Celsius. As demonstrated in this clip, Professor John Christy from the University of Huntsville Alabama recommend that we pay more attention to satellite and balloon measurements. Because temperature changes in the bulk of the atmosphere(the troposphere) is most important in relation to any possible greenhouse effect.
